Resources for Beavers

Recorded during lockdown, May 2020. Fox is helped by Wolf and Owl to gather firewood. Requirement 2 of Beaver Campcraft.

Fox shows us things that may need to be used when gardening - reminding the Beavers to be safe. This was recorded during April 2020 lockdown for Beavers to use at home.

COMING SOON—GOD IN THE ORDINARY—ADVENT RESOURCE

URC Children’s and Youth Work team ARE producing a family Advent resource this year! It is available for pre-order until mid October by email to children.youth@urc.org.uk. There’s a giant poster, four mini-books, stained glass windows to colour and lots of ideas for things to do, all in an envelope ready for invitations to church events. £3 for individual packs, £26 for 10 or £65 for 25 packs, plus P&P. Grants are available to help churches give these away to families. The themes will run parallel to Faith Adventures: Children Together and suggestions will be provided online for how you might use the Advent resource for outreach and engage with it with your congregations.

GO WITH GRETA / #CONNECT 2 ZIMBABWE The annual resource from URC Commitment for Life and URC Children’s and Youth Work will be out in November and sent out to all Commitment for Life churches as well as being available online. It is a two part magazine containing sessions for 5-11s and 11-14s about Zimbabwe, one of the regions supported by Commitment for Life in partnership with Christian Aid. It also includes ideas for an intergenerational celebration, with recipes, games and activities as well as Bible studies, prayers and action points.
